Biography

1. Current Position

Dr. Chigozie Ivor Nwobi is an International Scholar of repute, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Medical Radiography, Sub-dean (Deputy-dean), Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, College of Medical Science University of Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria.

He is from Nigeria and was born on 26^th July, 1974. He is Honorary Assistant Director of Radiography, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital

3. Working Experience:

Dr. Chigozie Nwobi ,Consultant Radiographer and Interventional Radiography, has over 20 years experiences include but not limited Radiography, CT-Scan, MRI, Intervenional angiography. Visiting lecturer in over 5 institutions both Federal and State Health institutions. He is Radiation safety adviser to numerous Radiology Facilitats.

Dr. Ivor Nwobi has twenty (20) Awards and Distinctions to his credit.

He is a member of many professional bodies (over 8 and registered and governing board member of Radiographers registration Board of Nigeria (7 years) , ISRRT

He attended many conferences, gave lecturers at workshops and Conferences and presented scientific papers within and outside Nigeria. He has supervised research theses over 400.

7. Administrative Experience:

His administrative experience is enormous, this includes former Head of Department of Radiography 2006-2019, Chairman of over 15 Committees include but not limited to Departmental Board of Examiners, Department Finance Committee, Radiography Curriculum Committee, Appraisal and Promotion, Disciplinary Committee, Programme leader. Presently Secretary College of Medical Science Medical Education Committee and Medical Quality Assurance Committee. Former Council Member Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN,2007) fellow of Institute of Business Diplomacy as Financial Management(FBDFM).

8. Achievements

(a) Participate in establishment of Medical Radiography Undergraduate Programme in over seven Universities in Nigeria.

(b) Redesign and development of New Curriculum in Radiography programme

(c) Development of Radiography Fellowship Curriculum Programme.

(d) Participated in establishment of Faculty of Allied Health Science, University of Maiduguri
