Biography

Dr. Mpiima Patrick Kibirango

Mpiima Patrick Kibirango was born 1963 at Kampala Uganda

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Radiography from Johannesburg University

South Africa, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Makerere

University Kampala- Uganda and a Honorary Doctorate in Leadership and

Management of Commonwealth University-UK.

He is the CEO/ Registrar of Allied Health Professionals Council –Uganda before

serving as a CEO, he was a Deputy CEO/Registrar from 2009-2011

Before joining Ministry of Health as Deputy Registrar, he had served as a chief

Radiographer for 15 year at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

Overall Patrick has an experience of over 25 years in the Health Care leadership and management.He is a board member in the number of reputable organisations and training

institutions He has served as a board member for Uganda Nurses and Midwifery

Council, Mulago Tutors College Makerere University and Uganda Institute of Allied

Health and Management Sciences- Mulago.

Mpiima Patrick Kibirango received several awards and certificates of recognition

from different institutions in recognition of his outstanding performance in Health

Sector.

In 2019, he received the service award by the Uganda Association for Advancement

Radiology and Imaging for exemplary performance and pivotal role in transforming

Diagnostic Imaging in Uganda.

2018, he was honoured with prestigious award from Uganda Medical Laboratory

Association for exemplary leadership as a Registrar for Allied Health Professionals council.
